She received her BFA Degree in painting  from Visva Bharati, Kala Bhavana at Shantiniketan. In 1997 she received her MFA (painting) from the same institution. 2001 saw her doing a PG Programme from Glasgow School of Art, at Glasgow, Scotland. Since 2000 she has participated in many group and solo shows in India and abroad.  Among her solo shows was ?Its Good to Be Queen? held at Bose Pacia artist space in New York in 2006, ?I Hate Pink? held at Lakeeran Art Gallery in Mumbai in 2003 and ?Unbelongings\', at Machintosh Gallery in Glasgow, Scotland in 2001, to name a few. Her list of group shows \'Boasts of Being Anastacia? held at Gothe Institute in Salvador, Brazil in 2006, ?Art Of Young Bengal?, curated by Sri Pranab Ranjan Ray, held at Aakriti Art Gallery, Kolkata in 2006 and ?Annual Exhibition: CAN Show? held at India Habitat Centre in 2002, are few among many more.
